About your trainer
Petrina Oakley
I’m Petrina (or Trainer Trine), the face behind OAK.fit in Highfields, Queensland.
I have one simple mission: to help people feel stronger, move better, and build confidence at any age or stage of life.
With over 30 years participating in the fitness industry, I decided to turn my passion into something that I could share with others in Jan 2023.
My key focus is on functional fitness, long-term health benefits and creating a welcoming, supportive space where you can genuinely feel that “Yes, I CAN do this!” energy. Surrounded by like-minded people, we enjoy a positive, social environment while working towards individual health goals.
You’ll also find me at parkrun every Saturday morning — my favourite way to kick off the weekend (with a well-earned coffee afterwards).

My clients
I love to work with a wide range of clients - men and women of all ages particularly focusing on those in midlife to senior years - including those managing injuries, starting or returning to exercise, wanting to achieve a fitness goal for employment or event, or simply wanting to improve their strength, fitness, mobility and overall wellbeing.

Services
Personal Training Session 1:1 or Small Group
OAK.fit personal training sessions are personalised one-on-one, partner, or small group workouts with Petrina, designed to help you move better, feel stronger, and enjoy your training experience.
Sessions are typically 45 minutes, however longer or shorter durations can be arranged if required.
Training is held:

Outdoors at a local park in Highfields, or
-
In your own home, if you would prefer to utilise your own equipment.
Every session is carefully designed around your individual goals, while taking into account any injuries, medical considerations, or movement limitations. Programs are structured to challenge you appropriately, build confidence, and most importantly - make exercise something you genuinely enjoy.
Whether you are just starting out, returning after a break, or looking to take your fitness to the next level, OAK.fit provides supportive, personalised guidance every step of the way.
Group Classes
OAK.fit group classes are proudly offered in conjunction with Toowoomba Regional Council - The Change Project initiative.
For just $8 per session, these fun and supportive classes deliver full-body workouts designed to improve:

Sessions are suitable for a variety of fitness levels, with options provided so everyone can work at their own pace while still feeling appropriately challenged.
These classes are a fantastic way to move your body, connect with the community, and build healthy habits — all in an encouraging and welcoming environment.
Transformation Tuesday – 6:00pm
Duration: 45 minutes
A full-body workout designed to boost both cardio fitness and strength. Suitable for all ages and fitness levels, this session brings energy, variety, and motivation to your week.
No two weeks are the same. Workouts may include:

On the last Tuesday of each month, we mix things up with a fun and empowering Box Fit session.
Mat Pilates – Wed & Thurs 9:00am
Duration: 45 minutes
A low-impact class that builds core and whole-body strength while improving posture and balance through controlled, mindful movements.
Mat Pilates focuses on technique, stability and alignment, helping you move better and feel stronger in everyday life.
CIRCL Mobility – Tues 7:00pm & Thurs 10:00am
Duration: 30 minutes
CIRCL Mobility blends flexibility, breathwork, and mobility to support recovery and improve movement quality.

For the month of June at Wednesday Mat Pilates we’ll be incorporating Therabands. If you have your own Theraband, please bring it along each week. If you would like to purchase one from me (and do a bit of homework at home), please send me an email. I will also have some available for you to borrow.
